Meet Dr. Caribas
Dr. Alejandro Caribas earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree (D.D.S.) from the Universidad Central de Venezuela. He went on to complete his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the Puerto Rico Medical Center in San Juan, Puerto Rico in 2002. During this time Dr. Caribas received extensive training in all aspects of contemporary Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery including trauma, dentoalveolar, and dental implants. Following his residency, Dr. Caribas returned to Venezuela and practiced for ten years at San Juan De Dios Children’s Hospital and also served as an associated professor in oral surgery for the Venezuela Central University.
Since obtaining his Florida dental license, Dr. Caribas has practiced Oral and Maxillofacial surgery and implant dentistry in Tampa, Florida. He is on staff and has hospital privileges at St. Joseph Hospital in Tampa. He belongs to a cleft lip and palate association in the Dominican Republic where travels every year and helps patients with facial deformities.
Dr. Caribas is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and is Board Certified in Dental Anesthesia. He also is a member of several well-respected dental associations, including the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Florida Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and the Hillsborough Dental Association.
